Business Development

Working with various partners over the past few years, the Chavez Center has been able to launch new, successful businesses that not only connect participants with the formal economy, but also give them the opportunity to become informed decision makers in their personal and professional lives.

Unfortunately, funding for this program has been eliminated. Still we continue to mentor those businesses we developed and strive to bring business resources to the Monument community.

Last Year:

  • The program provided employment for 21 people.
  • 3 businesses officially launched.

Looking into the future:

  • Partnerships will bring extensive expertise to train, grow and create new businesses.
  • A needs assessment will identify the needs of existing small businesses.
  • Resources to existing small businesses will become the focus of the program.
