Who We Are
We are one of the only nonprofits offering employment-geared training targeting language. In a unique bilingual atmosphere, the Chavez Center strives to bring the highest-quality services to address the many needs of often overlooked individuals.
Over the years we have evolved to refine our programs, expand our reach, and maximize our impact. We primarily serve the Monument Community of Concord, CA -- a largely isolated low‐income, community-- where we empower residents to achieve a better quality of life. Through partnerships with other organizations, ambitious staff, and dedicated members, we offer various job oriented programs that target different individual needs and goals. These programs provide resources and guidance while encouraging community members to see their potential as leaders, workers, and parents.
Services currently available include a variety of technology classes, small business development advising, career coaching, and day labor employment connections. We aim to develop both the technical and interpersonal skills of all our members so that they are fully prepared to enter the world of work and become successful contributors to their families and their community.
